Bose Surround Sound System – Cadillac Escalade

Bose Surround Sound ® available in the all-new Cadillac Escalade

Bose announces its most advanced sound system ever for a Cadillac vehicle. This Bose Surround Sound System has been precisely designed and tuned for the new Cadillac Escalade. Combining the latest Bose technologies with 16 strategically placed speakers, the Bose system delivers a new level of audio performance for Cadillac’s most luxurious SUV to date.
“Cadillac has done a remarkable job integrating luxury, craftsmanship and advanced technology in the new Escalade, and we’ve worked to ensure that our sound system meets this high standard,” said Marc Mansell, General Manager of Bose Automotive Systems. “The Bose Surround Sound System for the new Escalade represents our best engineering and collaboration capabilities, resulting in a listening experience that you won’t find in other large SUVs – optimising the audio for every row and every seat.”
Bose Technologies for Better Performance
The Bose Surround Sound System includes new speaker
designs and electronics that significantly improve the audio performance over the previous Escalade.
It starts with Bose Advanced Staging Technology, applied for the first time in a Cadillac, to create a wider, more spacious sound stage – like the experience of sitting in the front row at a live concert. Through a combination of Bose proprietary signal processing and five Twiddler®speakers placed across the forward cabin, music is reproduced with exceptional precision and clarity; vocals are centred, instruments are positioned to the left and right, and the sound stage is more expansive than ever before.
The components of the Bose®Surround Sound System for the Cadillac Escalade:
  • One 9-cm Twiddler®(Centrefill, mid-high-range speaker) in the instrument panel.
  • Two 6-cm Twiddler®(mid-high-range speakers) in the instrument panel.
  • Two 2.5-cm tweeters in the side-view mirror panels.
  • Two 6-cm Twiddler®(mid-high-range speakers) in the front doors.
  • Two 15 x 23-cm woofers in the front doors.
  • Two 13-cm wide-range speakers in the rear doors.
  • Two 2.5-cm tweeters in the rear doors.
  • Two 6-cm Twiddler®(mid-high-range speakers) in the D-pillars.
  • One 13-cm Richbass®woofer in a 10-litre custom-engineered bass enclosure under the front centre console.
  • A digital amplifier in the left side panel of the boot with Bose Digital Signal Processing:
    • 11 channels of customised equalisation for premium performance with minimal distortion.
    • AudioPilot®2 Noise Compensation Technology
    • Centerpoint®2 signal processing circuitry
    • SurroundStage®signal processing circuitry
    • Advanced Staging Technology
    • Microphone for AudioPilot®2 in the interior
For a surround-sound experience across all rows in the Escalade, Bose applied Centerpoint 2 signal processing. Centerpoint 2 uses a proprietary Bose algorithm to analyse the stereo signal and convert
it into multiple channels, enabling greater detail when reproducing music from nearly any source, including radio, CDs and digital music files.
Bose SurroundStage signal processing circuitry ensures a balanced, 360-degree sound field for each seating position, and compensates for off-centre vehicle seating, so everyone in the vehicle experiences full immersion.
Bose AudioPilot 2 technology preserves the audio experience, using a microphone in the cabin that monitors and adjusts music levels to compensate for vehicle speed and unwanted noise from the road. AudioPilot operates automatically – there is no need for manual adjustments.
Bose® and Cadillac: More Than 30 Years of Collaboration
The Bose Surround Sound System for the new Escalade builds on a history of innovation between Bose and Cadillac spanning more than three decades. In addition to the Escalade, Bose sound systems are available across the full Cadillac model range. Every Bose sound system is customised uniquely for each model, integrating Bose’s proprietary approach to automotive sound.
About Bose Automotive Systems
In 1982, Bose engineers created the world’s first factory-installed premium sound systems for General Motors luxury automobiles. Unlike conventional or aftermarket automotive systems, these Bose systems were specifically designed and tuned for the particular model in which they were installed, and helped transform the automobile from a hostile listening environment into a haven for
music enjoyment.
Since then, Bose has developed proprietary speaker designs, advanced amplification and signal processing technologies, and exclusive analysis and design tools for automotive sound systems, all based on a heritage of research and innovation. Today, Bose automotive sound systems are recognised around the world as the industry benchmark for performance and customer satisfaction.
As a company with international operations, Bose works together with leading automobile manufacturers worldwide. Since 1991, Bose Automotive has coordinated its European activities from Germany, with an office in France.
Consumers can experience Bose products in the dealerships as well as in the numerous Bose Experience Centres all over Europe.
